The animals of the sanctuary are Indian elephants, Indian rhinoceros, barasingha, Indian leopards, golden langurs, sloth bears, barking deer, black panthers, chitals etc. Manas Tiger Reserve also hosts more than 450 species of birds. The largest population of the endangered Bengal florican are found here.
